Our client are looking for a self-motivated and ambitious individual with previous B2B sales experience to join our busy sales team as part of a business expansion programme. If you are keen to further your sales career in a fast paced, technology focused industry this may be the role for you!
Purpose of the Role
The Business Development Executive will be responsible for successfully winning new business for the company. Allocated leads will be provided via our telemarketing teams however you will also be responsible for generating your own prospects.
You will be responsible for managing and developing your client base to ensure you maximise any up-sell/cross-sell opportunities as they arise.
The services provided will encompass a range of products from our portfolio including (but not limited to) mobile, fixed line and digital/IT solutions i.e. winning contracts to supply solutions via Garnell to any network or operator (third party) with whom the company may hold trading relationships.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include:
• Prospecting to secure your own meetings and building a secure pipeline of new business as well as following up on leads provided to you by our canvassing teams
• Preparing and executing your own “sales plan”
• Preparing and presenting your forecasts on a regular basis
• Preparing and presenting proposals and following the sales process through to successful contract signing
• Overall responsibility for the account management/retention of accounts won
• Proactive work within your client base to identify up-sell/cross-sell opportunities from our portfolio of solutions
• Maintaining records for your clients and prospects records using CRM
The Right Candidate
The candidate we are looking for…
• Has a proven track record in B2B sales, ideally with experience in telecoms or IT
• Is a self starter who is tenacious and success-driven
• Has experience of self-generating leads and not afraid of cold calling
• Is adaptable, willing to learn and able to keep up with the fast rate of change within the industry
• Has experience of consultative selling
• Has experience of account management and is customer focused
• Is able to demonstrate commercial awareness
